FUSING the Creative - Nina Koppel
We love this image of Nina Koppel, not only is the chair a wonderful example of quirky modernist design but she is also wearing her father's famous Bracelet 89, which we also have in the shop.
Nina Koppel studied textile design at Kunsthåndværkerskolen – Denmark’s
School of Arts and Crafts. She graduated in 1966 where she also
established her own workshop and later returned to the school as a teacher. Like her father and many other Georg Jensen collaborators she was a multi-disciplinary artist who designed jewellery as well as clothing and textiles. She was also the designer of the Tonus upholstery for the Kvadrat textile company in Denmark.
Nina Koppel began working for Georg Jensen in the 1980s and she became
famous for her ability to combine mystery and simplicity in the most
beautiful manner. She designed the interlocking ring concept that eventually led to the FUSION collection.
FUSION has delighted jewellery lovers since being fully introduced into the collections in 2000 and continues to inspire the creatives at Georg Jensen. The Open concept is an exciting and compelling addition to the FUSION family, perfectly complimenting the variations of the fully customisable Fusion rings.
Create your own story in FUSION a design that offers simplicity and opulence, whichever you prefer.
