Moonlight Blossom Blue Moonstone Necklace
MOONLIGHT BLOSSOM by Georg Jensen.
Sterling silver and precious stones come together in designs created over a century ago, displaying the original qualities of the Georg Jensen brand.
Many of these designs were created by Jensen himself in the early 1900s. These have acted as germinating seeds in the Silversmith's garden, growing the ideas that form the essence of Vintage Scandinavian design.
MOONLIGHT BLOSSOM is a testament to the quality and innovation that comes from Georg Jensen himself as well as the artisans from the silver-smithy who continue to augment the collection.
Silver encased Blue Moonstones are linked by stylised silver buds with an oxidised, hammered patina, for a resplendent Art Nouveau necklet.
The name of the collection comes from a quote from Georg Jensen in which he compared silver to the glow of the Danish moon. Carry the light of the moon with you and know, and as with all Georg Jensen pieces, there is a journey through history at the heart of the design.
Materials: Blue moonstone, Oxidised Sterling Silver
Measurements: L: 425 mm / 16.73 inches.
Design year: 1900
Launch year: 2010
